1. Project Manager (Timmins, ON)
The Engineering Project Manager plans and designs engineering projects as well as assembles project teams. This includes organizing highly complex activities for the development and execution of engineering projects, and reporting to management on various key performance indicators.
More specifically, this individual will be responsible for estimating and monitoring costs, providing guidance and technical expertise in engineering projects and acting as team leader.
This individual will also be accountable for project completion using engineering principles and techniques, considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints; as well as monitoring department processes and providing the Engineering Manager with feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Skill Set and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering or technologist designation, degree or diploma, with 5 + years of field experience or licensed electrician
- Active PEO or OACETT membership will be considered an asset
- Extensive computer knowledge in industry applications, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical / pneumatic systems design, engineering standards and guidelines
- Proven engineering and troubleshooting capability
- Organizational and business skills required to plan and budget
- Excellent communication skills, with strong report writing skills
- Knowledge of mining related processes a definite asset
- Strong numerical ability and reasoning skills
- Must be able to work independently with attention to detail
- Extensive knowledge of all applicable codes

2. Designer/Draftsperson (Timmins, ON)
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of basic engineering work activities in office, plant, field or laboratory settings that include designing, developing, and testing all aspects of electrical/mechanical components, equipment, and systems.
This position also manages routine engineering projects under supervision of a project manager or a senior engineer.
Experience:
- An engineering technology diploma from a recognized community college with 5 + yrs experience
- Active OACETT membership will be considered an asset
- Strong computer knowledge in industry applications, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of engineering standards and applicable electrical code
- Organizational and planning skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong numerical ability and reasoning skills
