BESTECH performed all civil and structural engineering for the conversion of an OSB plant to a wood pelletizer. The project included detailed engineering and the design for refurbishing existing buildings and foundations, as well as new items. BESTECH also provided field engineering and construction assistance throughout the project.
Some of the major deliverables for the project included design and supporting documentation for the following:
- Log pond area including retaining walls
- Green grind, dry grind and cyclone areas
- Pellet mill foundation and enclosure design
- Final storage and bulk weigher areas
- Conveyor support foundations throughout the site, both retrofit and new
