EAD

BESTECH was engaged by EAD to convert an oriented strand board (OSB) plant into a wood pellet production facility.
This project involved refurbishing existing structures and foundations and constructing new elements for the plant’s conversion.
SCOPE
BESTECH was responsible for engineering designs to support the new wood pelletizing operations. This included modifications to the log pond, green grind, dry grind, and cyclone areas. Engineers designed foundations and enclosures for the pellet mill, final storage, and bulk weigher.
New conveyor support foundations were developed, along with design specifications for building penetrations for conveyors. BESTECH also managed demolition, site logistics for truck movements, and refurbishments of existing foundations to meet operational needs.
OUTCOME
The conversion facilitated a successful transition to wood pellet production, enhancing the plant’s effectiveness and sustainability. BESTECH’s involvement ensured engineering solutions were implemented effectively, resulting in a functional production facility.
