BESTECH was engaged from installation through commissioning to enhance network reliability and minimize redundancies.
SCOPE
The team developed a new network topology that focused on implementing two Cisco core switches configured to operate as a single virtual logical switch. This configuration was selected to maximize uptime and enable easy management. To ensure robustness and redundancy, all critical Ethernet switches were equipped with dual Ethernet trunks that linked to each core switch.
OUTCOME
The successful implementation of this reconfigured network topology enabled the mine to maintain critical operations without interruption, providing a resilient and dependable communication backbone essential for modern mining operations.
