BESTECH was tasked with the engineering, design, and project management of all electrical and instrumentation aspects for the Kidd D-mine development.

This comprehensive project involved integrating advanced systems for power distribution, electrical designs, communication networks, video networks, and automation, crucial for the mine’s operational efficiency and safety.

SCOPE

BESTECH’s approach involved a meticulous design and integration process that covered various essential systems within the mine. The project included the development of sophisticated electrical and instrumentation designs to ensure seamless power distribution and efficient control of mining operations. Additionally, the team worked on enhancing communication and safety features by developing reliable communication networks and integrating critical systems such as ore sizing and handling, rockbreaker automation, dewatering processes, and safety mechanisms like skip level locks and ventilation fans.
