Magris Talc

Magris Talc is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Environmental Compliance Approvals (ECAs) for Air and Noise at three key facilities: the Penhorwood Mine and Concentrator Facility, the Timmins Micronizing Facility, and the Folyet Loadout Facility.
Adhering to the stringent terms and conditions set forth in these ECAs is crucial for the continued operation of these sites.
SCOPE
To address this need, BESTECH conducted a thorough third-party due-diligence review of the current operations at the three Magris Talc sites against the terms and conditions of their respective ECAs. This comprehensive review extended to examining the sites’ most recent Emission Summary and Dispersion Modelling (ESDM) reports and their compliance with the National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) reporting requirements. This process ensured that all potential discrepancies between current operations and regulatory standards were accurately identified and assessed.
OUTCOME
BESTECH’s evaluation provided Magris Talc with critical insights into organizational risks and opportunities related to their air quality compliance. By identifying necessary updates to the ESDMs and NPRI calculations to reflect current operations and evolving assessment standards, BESTECH offered Magris Talc not only assurance but also clear guidance on enhancing their reporting processes and overall compliance with air quality regulations.
