Your Opportunity.

To keep our family happy, and our team successful, we rely on effective human resources leadership.  The positive attitudes and valuable knowledge of our team of professionals are what draw our clients to BESTECH.  We need an HR professional who can support us in our collective and individual growth.

As our Sr. HR Specialist, you’ll be involved in every step.  Employee relations, benefits and compensation, talent acquisition, onboarding and performance management, HR policies development, creation of new HR plans and ensuring the very best HR practices are in place.

Here are the things we need you to do:

Talent Acquisition

  • Work with the broader team to develop engaging recruitment strategies and processes to attract, retain and develop the best people to, and for our organization.
  • Assist with creating job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, creating job offers and updating HR templates as required.
  • Ensuring outstanding employee onboarding.

Total Compensation

  • Own the benefit function and support our people with any issues or challenges.
  • Manage long-and short-term disability program, all work-related claims and absences.

Policies and Procedures

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, such as the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Develop and implement human resource policies and prepare, update and/or modify various HR related reports and templates.
  • Collaborate to ensure alignment with company policies and protocols.

Learning and Development

  • Assist with planning and delivering training programs to employees.
  • Support the performance management and development process.

Employee Engagement

  • Assist with employee engagement activities, people issues or employee questions. Support employees and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, terminations, exit interviews and manage employee documentation, files, and records.
  • Gather and analyze data and collaborate with managers to determine time to hire and employee turnover rates.

And, of course, all the other things that seem to come up each day.

So, who are you?

You are an individual looking to have an impact and make a difference.  You have a minimum of five years of HR experience, post-secondary education or equivalent, preferably in HR Management or related field, and good knowledge of applicable employment/labour laws, health and safety legislation, and general HR policies and procedures.

If you are bilingual (English and French) and have additional HR training, that would be an asset. Outstanding knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and HR software systems round out your education and experience.

We are open to a schedule that works for you and for us – full-time, or permanent part-time.  That said, given the nature of the role, we do need you to work from our offices.
